The club development plan highlights the priority activities for the Club over the period 2018-21 in order to ‘encourage and promote the sport of orienteering in Devon’. The plan is discussed regularly by the Committee, as is the Club’s strategic direction and financial status in relation to the success of activities during the year, planned future events and any National or Regional organisation priorities.
If you would like to discuss any elements of the Development Plan, please contact either Bryan Smith () or Rob Parkinson ()

I am very sorry to inform all club members of the particularly sad news that Graham Dugdale, M65, passed away last weekend. This will come as a huge and unexpected shock to all of those within the club who knew Graham.
Arrangements: The funeral service for Graham will take place at Holy Cross Church, Parson’s Hill, Whitwick, Coalville, near Ashby-de-la-Zouch on Thursday 31st May at 12.30. Details can be seen here: Funeral Arrangements
Please also note that the family are hoping to have a get together in Devon for Graham's friends, perhaps in Chudleigh, at some stage following the funeral. When further details are known, they will be posted on this website.
Event Organisers and Controllers
Please see the attached procedures, a copy of which should be available with the club SI kit and with the club first aid kit.

Permanent Orienteering Courses in Devon: do you make good use of them? The club is currently carrying out a stock take of those permanent courses (POCs) in the county which we support, to help ensure they are fit for purpose and continue to offer an enjoyable experience to all who use them.
What do members want from the club? That may sound a relatively straightforward question; regular events, fairly close to where members live, not too expensive. Is this an accurate summary?
Devon's turn to provide the photographs!
SWOA has a new website -and has asked each club to provide photographs, one month at a time. It is now Devon's turn and, thanks to Mark Lockett, you can see the results at: sworienteeringassociation.co.uk
The photographs are from the CompassSport Cup Final held at Virtuous Lady in October 2017, and the January 2018 Five Tors event.
