There were some very impressive performances amongst the Devon juniors at this selection race at Tockholes, Lancashire on 17th November 2018. In the M16 class, Flurry Grierson was 1st and Reuben Vasey, Jack Forrest and Sam Johnson were all in the top 10 M16 places whilst in the M14 Class,Tom Perry took 2nd place. Well done to all the Devon juniors who made the long trip to Lancashire.

Witton Country Park, Blackburn
There was a substantial Devon based presence at the British Schools' O Championships held on Sunday 18th November, near Blackburn, Lancashire, with 24 students from Torquay Boys' Grammar, 1 student from Torquay Girls' Grammar and 2 students from King's School Ottery. Congratulations to TBGS in taking 1st place in the Year 10, 12 and 13 (Boys) categories (with a minimum of three runners counting.)

Matt Atkins is now producing the club's Mailchimp Bulletins and sent out the latest one on November 1st. If you have not received it, please check your spam, as it originated from a new email address. (Devon Orienteering Club <>) It includes lots of club information, so do track it down!

Six DEVON juniors were amongst 18 selected to represent the South West in the Junior Regional Orienteering Championships (JIRCs) held in the Peak District 29th – 30th September 2018.
Killerton Park, Near Exeter
The Devon Relays and Individual Score Event take place on Sunday 22nd July in the wonderful setting of Killerton, (National Trust), near Exeter. Updated details of the event can be seen here: Events
This is a sociable and fun event - or you can take part as an individual in the one hour score event!
Entries should be sent to by 14th July. There will also be limited entry on the day for the relays.
Spread the Word!
Our Summer Series of events will be taking place between June and August. Results of the first three events, at Knightshayes, Haldon Forest Park and Bicton are now available. We are working hard to get a good turnout of newcomers and returners to the sport as well as current club members. So, please do what you can to spread the word, invite friends and get along yourself!
One Hour Score Events
This year the club offered some informal street O races - 1 hour score events. Using simple street maps based on OpenStreetMapping ( http://www.oomap.co.uk) with controls being street furniture such as lamp posts , hydrants, signs etc. A mapping example is here.
Results of the four events, held in Exmouth, Exeter, Kingsteignton and Honiton are now available.
