Sunday 17th March Quantocks
Great Devon turn-out for the Compass Sport Cup Qualifier!
Ruth Chesters, our Club captain, writes...
Well done, and thank you, to the 55 Devon members who took part in the Compass Sport Cup Qualifier. It was an excellent team performance which enabled us to give Bristol Orienteering Klub some serious competition. We were only 43 points adrift of the team that finished third in last year’s final, and were winners of the Compass Sport Cup in 2017!
The competition rules allow for an extra final place to be available in any qualifier in which one of last year’s top three take part. This means that, by coming a close second to BOK, Devon has also reached the 2019 final. Therefore, fellow Devon members, please put October 20th 2019 in your diary. It would be great to have as many of you as possible representing your club in the Compass Sport Cup Final, at Pippingford Park, East Sussex.
Let’s aim to improve on the 9th place that Devon achieved in 2018. More details of the final will be coming soon.

One of the things that, as a club, we are keen to do is further develop a strong identity and a sense of Devon Orienteering Club. How do we go about it?
