The permanent orienteering course at Plymouth Central Park has been updated! This is as a result of a partnership between Plymouth City Council, Argyle Community Trust and Devon Orienteering Club.

MapRuns can be done in your own time. There are score courses and line courses to choose from. Simply download the MapRun app onto a smartphone, print a copy of the map and go and have a run!

Updated Permanent O Course now available!
Following close working together over the last few months, The National Trust and Devon Orienteering Club have completed a significant update to the Killerton permanent orienteering course for which maps are now available.

Sunday 27th June
Plymouth Central Park is the venue for our next (traditional) orienteering event on Sunday 27th June with starts from 10.30 -12.30. The map has recently been updated and there are five courses to choose from; Yellow, Orange, Light Green,a longer Orange course, and a Long course of Red standard. Help will be available for anyone unfamilar with what to do. Due to COVID-19 management the event is pre-entry. We hope to see you there!
Mapping -Tuesday 20th April and Tuesday 4th May (both 19.30 -20.45)
This 2 part series of Mapping Webinars is now open to book on for beginner mappers, would be mappers or those just looking to understand a bit more about how our maps are made.
The webinars will seek to introduce some of the concepts and principles of Orienteering Mapping. The webinars are packed with experienced presenters, knowledgeable panellists and outlining some of the basics to mapping. For registration details see below.

Learn the sport of orienteering!
Manchester & District Orienteering Club (MDOC) has just launched a series of four short films called ‘Get Out & Go’. They are available now on the club’s YouTube channel and at https://gmoa.org.uk/how-to-videos/
The films show how families, runners and walkers can enjoy learning the adventure sport of orienteering using permanent orienteering courses in local parks. They show all the basic techniques to get orienteering from white/yellow through to trickier end of orange.
