Following the final event of the season at East Hill on 9th June, the results for the Devon League are now available.
It is great to see that approximately 500+ individuals (or pairs or family groups in some cases) took part over the season on at least one course or another.
Well done to Tessa Stone, Hana Skuckova and Kim Boswijk for attending all nine events during the season!
Ben Stevens (M12) won the Yellow course with a perfect 3000 -and nearly did the same on the Orange (2903) but was beaten by Oliver O'Brien (M14) (2980). Meg Somers (W12) was first female on Yellow (2906) and first female on the Orange was Christie Knight (W12) (1494). Congratulations to each of these juniors.
Light Green was won by James Dean (M14) with a perfect 5000, with Dulcie Grierson (W14) first female (3546). Green was won by Carol Pierce (W65) (4051) with Tom McMurtrie (M45) first male (3736). Blue was particularly well contested; Joss Knight (M18) was first with 4863 and the first female was Tessa Stone (W45) (4103). Finally, Ben Chesters (M35) was just short of 5 winning runs on the Brown course, leading the way with 4984. First female was Robin Carter (W50) (1585).
Well done to all who took part -as well as all of the Planners, Organisers, Controllers and many additional volunteers.
Certificates will be awarded at a later date to each of the first male and female competitors on each course.
