Organiser comments

After being moved from Newnham park area due to forestry work and possible mine subsidence just before Christmas, Cann Woods / Plym forest south was kindly offered by Forestry Commission. The mapping of this area was last revised in 2004 and therefore some quite major and small changes have been made, some forest blocks were updated but time did not permit in depth changes. Roads, tracks and paths were as marked. Both Green and Jade were set as technical as a day event, this proved challenging on a few controls. Well done to Phil and Barry on their good runs. The Orange was set to be a little more challenging with controls out of line of sight, comments were favourable.

Thanks to Roger Green for advice, adjusting and printing maps, Nicholas Maxwell for advice on running a revised event and ensuring all were aware of the venue change, Alan Simpson ensuring all SI kit was in working order. Particular thanks to Ben Phillips from Forestry Commission for being so helpful and supportive in the running of this event.
