What does this mean?
Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Training events are non competitive and used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships. Virtual events are where there are no physical controls being used. Your presence at a control is registered using an App on your mobile phone, normally the free MapRun6 App.

Organiser's comments
Today's event had been arranged and put on at short notice as unfortunately our scheduled event at Lympstone was cancelled. It may seem to some that we return to Knightshayes quite often, and some of you may feel you know many of the likely controls sites. However the events we do hold there around this time of year are usually blessed with good weather and a good turn out so obviously you do like to come here to run or walk the courses. It is a beautiful setting creating a relaxed atmosphere and today was just that.
We must thank the team at National Trust for working closely with us to deal with our application and issue of a licence in a much shorter time than usual and welcoming once again.
Phil Beale
Thanks to Steve Perrelle for planning
