Planner's Comments: What a stunning day at Mount Edgcumbe Country Park. I would like to thank the park for allowing us access to this truly beautiful location; I hope you enjoyed your visit.  I can honestly say I really enjoyed the experience of planning this event with many of my visits made in similar weather, if a little colder.   I would like to thank Roger Hargreaves and Steve Beech for their assistance in hanging controls; it made the whole process a joy and to John Moody for his assistance at short notice.  To the lads of Torquay Boys' Grammar School, Steve Perrelle  and Ben Chesters a massive thanks for control collecting it really does make it a painless experience to have so many willing volunteers.  Also Tim Gent and Devon OC team who ran a smooth and efficient event.  I learnt a lot through this experience and I would like to thank those who took the time to feedback back both the good and the “could do better”.  I think it is important to get this feedback so I can improve in the future; although it is not always easy to hear when you are tired at the end of a long weekend.  On that note I would like to thank those who did talk to me for doing so in a calm, polite and constructive manor after what was a physical and sometimes frustrating run in hot conditions.  If there is any more feedback I am happy to receive it via email marklucylockett(at)gmail.com. Lastly I would like to thank Bryan Smith my controller for all his help and assistance; I hope I am lucky enough to work with him again.  I hope you have enjoyed the photos from Plymouth and Mount Edgcumbe. Mark Lockett

Controller's Comments: Many thanks to Mark for all of his work in planning at Mt. Edgcumbe; the outcome of which provided 10 good, middle distance courses, making the most of the terrain and with winning times for the more technical courses pleasingly close to the 30 -35 minutes target, despite recent, rapid, vegetation growth.  As some people reasonably pointed out, we recognise that parts of the map need updating. The club currently have this in hand, using LIDAR, although the task is someway off completion. The setting, of course, was superb - as was the weather.  Please take the time to see some of Mark's stunning photographs! Bryan Smith
