Lakes 5 Days

August 2014

Just short of 30 Devon club members took part in some first-class orienteering in the Lake District 5 day event from the 3rd -8th August.

Well done to everyone who made it up and down the M6 /M5 as well as through the rain on Day 1 and at the campsite -and reaped the reward of great conditions on other days. Those who made it to the podium for the combined result included: Tom Lillicrap (1st M65) and Ella Bowles (3rd W55). Mention should also be made of William Matthews, the club's youngest competitor, (9th M12) and Ben Chesters (3rd M35), a SARUM member and great supporter of the junior competitors.
