Congratulations to the Devon successes at the SW Middle Distance Championships on Studland Dunes.
A good number from Devon were attracted to a weekend's competition in a beautiful corner of South Dorset, some returning to the dunes, first used last year, and some who had heard how good the area was.
This weekend was organised by Wessex OC, featuring a middle distance event, i.e. shorter courses, but with lots of controls, on a small but complex sand dune area by the sea, and overlooking Poole Harbour. This was followed up by the SW league fixture on Sunday on the nearby Agglestone Heath, which itself has some complex areas that seem to catch many people out.
