This is the second Swiss 6 Day I have attended; the other was at Zermatt with Vivienne and everything worked well. This one is based at Flims/ Laax near Chur.
Arthur Boyt
We are very saddened to learn of the passing of another long time orienteer and member of the Club, Arthur Boyt.

More recent achievements were 2nd as an M80 in all the follow: Brit champs (2019 & 2021), Brit night champs (2020) and overall in Scottish 6-days (2019).
The funeral will be held on Tuesday 25th July at 12.00 noon at Newton Abbot. Further details of the funeral arrangements can be obtained from Arthur's sister in law, Jane, the Chair, or myself, Andy.
Erik Peckett
We are very saddened to learn of the passing of Erik Peckett, a long-time, and leading member of the Club.
Much of Erik’s life was devoted to orienteering. He was at the heart of Devon Orienteering Club for many years as well as being hugely committed to mapping, having supported work in BOF and IOF.

Yes, they are back again either side of the Scottish 6 days event to test your navigation. No flag on the ground so you are really looking for the feature which is what you are of course supposed to do !
Full details and maps are now available. Control descriptions are on all but one map. The courses will open on the app on the date shown but will remain available until the next bird nesting season for those who want to use them later.
