Royal Signals Corps Training Camp 2014

3rd -7th November 2014

Devon Orienteering Club was asked to assist the Royal Signals in an orienteering training camp by providing maps of our areas.  This is arranged for the week of 3rd November and in return members are invited to join in if they so wish.  Please contact Jamie Ransom in advance if you want to attend any of the sessions.

Training will commence at about 0900hrs for the morning session, 1300hrs for the afternoon session and 1800hrs for the evening session. 

Monday 03 Nov 14 Cookworthy Forest    

Morning: 3.5 - 5 Km Shakeout Course 

Afternoon: Clock Relay & Start Practice

Evening: Okehampton Camp

Tuesday 04 Nov 14 Penhale

Morning: Compass, Contours and Dunes

Afternoon: Speed Control & Line O

Evening: Okehampton Camp

Wednesday 05 Nov 14 Burrator

Morning: Control Flow, 2 Person Clock Relay

Afternoon: Open Hillside O

Evening: Okehampton Camp

(Lessons Learned, Sports Psychology, The Right Mind Set)

Thursday 06 Nov 14 King Tor & Five Tors

Morning: Concentration Oxygen Debt, Mass Participation

Afternoon: Relay on King Tor

Evening: Okehampton Camp

(Lessons Learned, Fitness, Faster Technique, Risky or Play Safe

Friday 07 Nov 14 Cookworthy/Burrator TBC
