Lew Bean31st July 1946 - 12th June 2022
Lew sadly passed away on Sunday 12 June 2022. After a short illness he died peacefully at home. He was the much loved husband of Celia and of his children Simon and Victoria.
For many years Lew was a committed and energetic member of Devon OC. He established the original club website and had significant roles at a good number of small scale and larger events. He was also a proficient mapper, under the name of Beanomaps. Lew did a great deal to support the development of a number of the permanent courses in Devon.
Those that knew Lew know that he had a great love of the outdoors, cycling, singing with Mariners Away shanty group and playing with Queen's Dock ukelele group. He greatly enjoyed trips away in our camper van.

The service will be held at Weston Mill Crematorium Chapel, Ferndale Road, Plymouth, Devon, PL2 2EP on Friday 8th July 2022 at 2:45pm
Family flowers only, but donations please to St Luke's Hospice, Plymouth who gave us such great support (www.stlukes-hospice.org.uk). If you are making a donation, please do not forget to Gift Aid if appropriate.
As this will be a celebration of his life, please wear bright clothes if coming to the funeral.
